Orchards at Springvale

First Impressions: Orchards at Spring Vale Farm

Weddings

Tucked away on the fringes of Learmonth is the stunning Orchards at Spring Vale Farm. The property opened as an elegant event venue in 2017 & located just one and a half hours from Melbourne & close to Ballarat. Co-owners Linette & Marilyn have transformed the entire estate into a stunning event destination.

A bonus when passing through Learmonth is a stop at the charming Cafe Sidra. We called in to enjoy a flight of cider & a generous serving of fries with aioli. Both the service & surroundings were cosy and warm, with many tempting food choices!

As we drive through the impressive entrance gates and follow the curved driveway, a grand bluestone estate reveals itself ahead. Greeted by Linette, we briefly exchange introductions & commence a tour of the immaculate property.

Making our way around the back of the homestead, we are guided up several bluestone steps into a garden opening complete with majestic statement trees. The views alone are outstanding & Linette mentions it as a popular location for wedding ceremonies.

Around the next corner of the homestead, we immediately pull out our iPhone cameras in an attempt to capture some of the magnificent scenery. Formal tiling, an outdoor dining space, palm trees & a water feature overlook a blanket of green grass and lake beyond. This combination of landscaping elements is truly magic & we can easily see ourselves plonked here with friends to enjoy a spectacular afternoon or weekend away.

Further towards the lake presents an attractive tennis court flanked by a conifer border. Hiring the entire venue gives you complete access to the recreational activities, gardens & homestead. The impressive property also includes an apple orchard harvested for use at the local cidery in Learmonth.

After wandering around the lake & garden locations, we head inside the bluestone homestead. The interior boasts two living areas, large modern art pieces & elegant furnishings, lending itself to comfortable gatherings with loved ones.  A sparkling cider in hand with a charcuterie board by the fire would be our ideal situation right now! The main building accommodates up to seven guests, with the addition of the lemon tree apartment (located within the footprint of the homestead) allowing for another four.

Exquisite open gardens abound around every corner on the property to create an idyllic event location in the picturesque countryside. Linette shares with us her passion for making dreams come true by exceeding expectations & delivering on service. Wedding Couples are spoilt for choice when determining which scenic location to hold their ceremony & reception! The entire homestead is also available to hire for accommodation, celebrations & photoshoots. Sign us up!
